These “Low Self Discharge” battery packs can be used in place of conventional NiCd or NiMH
receiver & transmitter batteries. They can even be charged with the same chargers, but the beauty of
them is that they retain their charge over long periods of time - 80% after 6 months, 70% after 1 year.
So for occasional use applications they are ideal - if the battery was only given light use & then left for
a month or two, you can just use it straight away as it won’t have gone flat.
